Baracaldo[5][6] es un municipio situado en el territorio histórico y provincia de Vizcaya, en la comunidad autónoma del País Vasco, España. Está ubicado en la comarca no oficial del Gran Bilbao, en la margen izquierda de la ría del Nervión. Es el municipio vizcaíno más habitado después de Bilbao y el cuarto vasco por detrás de las capitales de provincia al tener 100 881 habitantes .[7] Su denominación histórica es anteiglesia de San Vicente de Baracaldo.
