Archidona es una ciudad y un municipio español de la provincia de Málaga, en la comunidad autónoma de Andalucía. Es el centro de la Comarca Nororiental de Málaga[3] y la cabecera del partido judicial que lleva su nombre.[4] Obtuvo el título de ciudad en 1901.Su término municipal ocupa una superficie de 187 km² que se extienden por el confín oriental de la depresión de Antequera. La ciudad está ubicada a 666 m sobre el nivel del mar, en la falda de la Sierra de Gracia. Con 8858 habitantes, Archidona es el municipio más poblado de la comarca. La población se concentra en el núcleo urbano principal homónimo y los núcleos menores de Salinas, Estación de Archidona y Huertas del Río.
