Un castillo fortificado entre Caen y Bayeux
El castillo medieval de Creully es uno de los más importantes de Calvados después de los de Caen y Falaise. Situado en el corazón del pueblo de Creully-sur-Seulles, su singular arquitectura es testigo de las numerosas transformaciones que sufrió entre los siglos XII y XIX. Su excepcional vestíbulo románico, su foso y sus murallas contrastan con la torrecilla renacentista de su fachada.
El Museo de la Radio
En el interior del castillo, el Museo de la Radio expone radios civiles y militares del siglo XX. Textos, películas y objetos ilustran el desarrollo de las comunicaciones y la importancia de Creully como cuna del reportaje de guerra. En junio de 1944, la BBC instaló un estudio de radio en la Tour Carrée del castillo, lo que permitió a los corresponsales de guerra emitir sus reportajes sobre la batalla de Normandía.
