Le duo d’architectes Gijs Van Vaerenbergh a conçu un moulin à vent en acier armé, inspiré des dessins au trait de Bruegel. Dans plusieurs peintures et gravures de Pieter Bruegel, les moulins à vent occupent une place importante, comme dans La Procession au Calvaire en 1568. La construction légère représente la relation antérieure entre le paysage productif et le caractère villageois qui a disparu depuis longtemps. L’œuvre se dresse dans un paysage ouvert et est visible de loin.
