Poème de l'écrivain et poète néerlandais Gerard Kornelis van het Reve
Entre 1993 et 2006, Machelen-aan-de-Leie a été la résidence de l'auteur et poète néerlandais Gerard Reve.
Il y est enterré dans le nouveau cimetière de la Hoevestraat.
Sur la place Georges-Jozef Imschoot, le poème Credo de Reve a été intégré dans un mur commémoratif.
Juste à côté se trouve l'atelier de l'artiste Martin Wallaert. Atelier à visiter sur rendez-vous.
