Ce ruisseau au lit artificialisé, qui alimente l'étang du Fer à Cheval, rappelle une rivière située en province de Namur, non loin de Dinant, et à qui il doit son nom. En effet, plus en amont, un réservoir d’eau potable reçoit des eaux captées aux sources du Bocq namurois, dont le trop plein d’eau alimente notre petit Bocq bruxellois!
