Depuis Velzeke, nous passons par Oombergen, Sint-Lievens-Houtem, Vlierzele et Schellebelle jusqu'à Overmere Donk. À Schellebelle, nous prenons le ferry ! À Overmere Donk, nous faisons une boucle autour du lac et continuons le long du chemin de la rivière Escaut en direction de Schoonaarde. De là, nous nous dirigeons vers Hofstade, puis poursuivons vers Mere et le long de la nouvelle piste cyclable jusqu'à Burst. Par Herzele, Grotenberge et Zottegem, nous retournons à notre point de départ.

L'itinéraire cyclable est entièrement asphalté et adapté aux cyclistes de loisirs ainsi qu'aux groupes individuels ou petits de cyclistes sur route. Nous roulons régulièrement sur des pistes cyclables sans voiture, et beaucoup à travers les bois et le long de l'eau.
