La costruzione più notevole del parco è l'arco di trionfo, inaugurato nel 1905. Il primo architetto nominato dal re Leopoldo II fu l'architetto belga Gédéon Bordiau. Dopo la sua morte, il re nominò l'architetto francese Charles Girault.
Il monumento è composto da tre archi uguali, con sopra l'arco centrale una statua in bronzo che rappresenta Brabant su un carro da guerra, trainato da quattro cavalli. Ai piedi dell'arco di trionfo si trovano, su entrambi i lati, otto statue che rappresentano le province rimanenti. (Il Belgio aveva un totale di 9 province quando fu costruito l'arco di trionfo. Le riforme statali hanno portato a un cambiamento in questo.) Le statue furono realizzate da Thomas Vinçotte, Jef Lambeaux, Charles Van der Stappen, Albert Desenfans e Guillaume De Groot. Nel 1988 fu completata la restaurazione del quadriga sopra l'arco di trionfo.
