La foresta di Tangebeek è un antico parco-foresta con aree umide di ontano e piantagioni di pioppi che vengono gradualmente sostituite da una foresta mista di latifoglie con Olmo comune, Ontano nero, Quercia estiva, Acero comune, Carpino bianco, Faggio, Salice, Betulla, Sorbo, Sassifraga, Nocciolo e Biancospino.
I superstiti dell'epoca del parco sono alcuni alberi non autoctoni e alberi ornamentali, come il Giobbe, il Pino argenteo gigante, il Salice piangente, il Tasso, il Pino di Douglas, il Cipresso californiano e la Robinia. Nello strato erbaceo della valle di Tangebeek si trovano sia specie tipiche di bosco che piante erbacee di prateria.
