Fondato nel 1242 da Alix de Rosoit, l'ospedale Notre-Dame-à-la-Rose, gestito da una comunità di frati e sorelle sottoposti alla regola di Sant'Agostino, era destinato ad accogliere i poveri, i pellegrini e i malati.
Gli edifici, in stile rinascimentale e articolati attorno a un chiostro gotico, ospitano oggi un museo che illustra sia la vita della comunità religiosa sia le cure materiali, spirituali e mediche (storia e evoluzione della farmacia, della medicina e delle condizioni di ospedalizzazione...) che questa comunità ha fornito ai malati dal 1242 al 1980. Il visitatore potrà anche scoprire la fattoria, i giardini, il cimitero e il ghiacciaio.
Beneficiando di fondi europei, un restauro di grande portata si è concluso nel 2011-2012.
