Questo itinerario a piedi attraverso la Regione Cittadina di Mechelen ti accompagna in un viaggio di scoperta attraverso la ricca storia e architettura di Leest. Inizi presso il punto di snodo 63, dove puoi subito percepire la significativa storia di Leest, con la sua prima menzione nel 1128 e la fusione con Mechelen nel 1975. Cammini lentamente verso l'Antico Municipio, un bellissimo edificio storico che ti invita a fermarti un attimo a riflettere sul passato. Più avanti scopri l'ex municipio e l'abitazione degli insegnanti, ora una comoda biblioteca. Non dimenticare di dare un'occhiata alla fattoria lungo la Kooteweg, un bel esempio di architettura rurale. Questo facile percorso di 3,4 chilometri è per lo più privo di auto e non asfaltato, perfetto per goderti l'ambiente in tutta tranquillità.
