La posizione di lancio Nike di Oedingen era durante la Guerra Fredda un sito di missili anti-aerei di 16,08 ettari dell'Aeronautica Federale. Nell'ambito della partecipazione nucleare della NATO, in caso di emergenza, sarebbero stati montati testate nucleari tattiche statunitensi sui missili, che venivano tenuti pronti in rinomati hangar situati nel terreno della posizione di lancio. Questa struttura faceva parte della cosiddetta cintura Nike per la difesa aerea della NATO ed era situata presso Lennestadt-Oedingen nel distretto di Olpe.
