Il disco celeste di Nebra è stato scavato insieme a spade e asce in bronzo nel 1999 dagli archeologi dilettanti Henry Westphal e Mario Renner sul Mittelberg, una collina nei pressi del villaggio di Nebra, circa 60 chilometri a ovest di Lipsia, nello stato tedesco della Sassonia-Anhalt. Il disco di Nebra è la rappresentazione più antica del cielo sulla Terra. È il più antico strumento astronomico conosciuto al mondo. Il disco verde mare di Nebra in bronzo ha un'età compresa tra 3.600 e 3.750 anni.
