Secondo tratto di 65 km del Camino del Cid. Il tratto da Burgos a Covarrubias fa parte del percorso El Destierro (L'Esilio), la parte più settentrionale del Camino del Cid di 360 km che va da Vivar del Cid ad Atienza.
Percorso collinare (circa 620 metri di dislivello) ma mai veramente difficile. Lungo il cammino il monastero di San Pedro de Cardeña dove per secoli è stato sepolto il corpo di El Cid.
