Heythuysen) è un villaggio nella provincia olandese di Limburg, comune di Leudal, con oltre 6.545 abitanti. Il nome Heythuysen deriva da 'heidehuizen', un nome che parla da solo. La popolazione locale usa come soprannome per Heythuysen il termine lusinghiero 'Klein Paries'. Heythuysen è nato nei primi secoli medievali su una dorsale sabbiosa tra il Bevelandse Beek e il Tungelroyse Beek. Nel 1243 faceva parte della Terra di Horn, divenne poi proprietà del Princi-bispato di Liegi, e nel 1680 divenne una signoria autonoma, mentre durante il periodo francese divenne un comune.
