Questo ruscello è alimentato da acque falda intorno a Woudenberg e da piccoli corsi d'acqua provenienti dai pendii della Valle di Gelderland. Il ruscello è lungo circa 8 km e scorre da Woudenberg verso Amersfoort, dove raggiunge la città presso la porta d'acqua Monnikendam. Amersfoort è stata fondata nel luogo in cui si incontrano numerosi ruscelli e scorre come fiume Eem verso il Mare del Sud. Il Heiligenberger Beek contribuisce notevolmente a questo. Il ruscello prende il nome dalla Tenuta Heiligenberg situata tra Leusden e Amersfoort.
