De Koningsdonkstraat is een traditionele geplaveide weg, die een sfeer van Parijs-Roubaix naar Gentbrugge brengt. De Koningsdonkstraat leidde je naar de (nu verdwenen) veerboot die de Schelde overstak. Je kunt nog steeds het prachtige gebouw aan het einde van de straat zien, nu een restaurant, vanwaar je de Schelde kunt aanschouwen, waar de veerboot vroeger was. In de tijd dat de oversteek nog plaatsvond, was de Koningsdonkstraat een belangrijke communicatie route tussen Heusden en Gentbrugge.
