De Benedictusberg, genoemd naar de prachtige benedictijner abdij van Mamelis die links van de helling ligt, loopt langs de Duits-Nederlandse grens omhoog vanuit Mamelis naar Bocholtzerheide. Het pad is niet alleen steil (gemiddeld 8,4%) maar door de steenslag ondergrond met gaten en geultjes moeilijk te beklimmen. Dit is de reden waarom enkele MTB-ers kiezen voor de geasfalteerde variant die rechts van de helling ligt. De klim is 700 meter lang.
