Garrovillas de Alconétar is een gemeente in de Spaanse provincie Cáceres in de regio Extremadura met een oppervlakte van 207 km². Garrovillas de Alconétarheeft 2.145 inwoners .De Plaza Mayor van Garrovillas gaat door voor een van de mooiste van Spanje. Het is een immens en majestueus plein dat werd aangelegd in de XV-XVI de eeuw. Rondom zijn witgeschilderde huizen te zien waarvan er heel wat van arcaden voorzien zijn. Aan een van de zijden staat het voormalige Palacio de los Condes de Alba de Alista, een paleis dat tegenwoordig een luxueus hotel herbergt.
