De Ermita van Maristel·la was eerder bekend onder de naam Ermita del Carme. Het is een relatief modern gebouw, aan het einde van de 19e eeuw. Concreet gaat het begin van de werkzaamheden terug tot het jaar 1890, toen de congregatie van de terziarie karmelieten de schenking accepteerde die mevrouw de Son Ferrà, Dª Margalida Rosselló Ferrà, deed. Momenteel behoort de ermita tot de Parochie van Sant Pere d'Esporles.
