Dit kruis op het kerkplein is een perfect meesterwerk van religieuze beeldhouwkunst uit de late 15e of vroege 16e eeuw. Op de schacht zijn twaalf scènes uit het leven van Christus afgebeeld (drie aan elke kant). In de hoeken staan de twaalf apostelen en daarboven de vier evangelisten. Het kruis is tweezijdig: aan de ene kant de kruisiging onder de ogen van Sint Petrus en Sint Michaël. Op de achterkant toont Onze Lieve Vrouw van Barmhartigheid, tussen de heilige Magdalena en de heilige Johannes, het levenloze lichaam van haar zoon. Dit schilderij markeert het einde van het drama.
