EEN DAG TUSSEN HEMEL, NATUUR EN GESCHIEDENIS
Fond-de-Gras was een van de belangrijkste mijncentra in Luxemburg. De winning van ondergronds erts stopte echter in 1955. In 1964 maakte een aardverschuiving op de spoorlijn Fond-de-Gras - Pétange definitief een einde aan alle spoorwegactiviteiten. Al snel zetten vrijwilligers zich in om een toeristentreintje met historische stoomlocomotieven te laten rijden. De eerste “Trein 1900” floot in 1973..
Enkele jaren later is een oude mijn weer open en kan bezocht worden dankzij de mijntrein “Minièresbunn” die vandaag een indrukwekkende ervaring biedt tijdens het bezoek aan de bodem van de mijn.
Dit openluchtmuseum, nu bekend als Minett Park Fond-de-Gras, biedt tal van aanvullende activiteiten, met ijzererts als rode draad. Het omvat: Fond-de-Gras, het dorp Lasauvage, de voormalige dagbouwmijn "Giele Botter" en het Keltische oppidum van Titelberg.
