Na de Vrijmaking (1944) had de Gereformeerde Kerk vrijgemaakt de Zendingskerk als kerkgebouw tot hun beschikking. Echter, men wilde uiteraard een eigen kerkgebouw. In 1955 werd de grond gekocht en in 1959 kon de kerk in gebruik worden genomen. Het huidige gebouw is echter van 1978.
