Durch das Kunstmuseum "Am Herrenberg" wird eine einstmals besten Adressen am Platze, Am Herrenberg 1, wieder ins rechte Licht gerückt. In dem grundlegend sanierten Gebäude befinden sich Teile einer hochwertigen privaten Kunstsammlung mit einem Schwerpunkt auf Malerei aus dem "Gouden Eeuw".
Diese große Blütezeit in Kunst und Kultur der Niederlande umfasst das gesamte 17. Jahrhundert. Diese Zeit brachte so weltbekannte Künstler hervor wie Rembrandt, van Rijn oder Jacob von Ruisdael. Im Museum am Herrenberg können Sie Gemälde einiger weiterer bekannt gewordener Maler dieser Epoche sehen, die zumeist selbst Schüler der größten Künstler ihrer Zeit waren.
