L' església de l'Àngel Custodi es va obrir al públic l'any 1701.
En els anys següents la congregació va decidir construir una església més gran sobre l'existent , per la qual cosa les estances originals van ser convertides en cripta.
L' edifici es distribueix en dos nivells, tancat a la part inferior per una reixa vorejada per dues escales que condueixen a la sala superior. Hi ha una gran sala amb coberta de volta: l'antiga església i l'actual cripta de la confraria. L'església té una estructura arquitectònica d'una sola nau, amb cinc altars. A l'entrada hi ha un àtic de cor de fusta d' estil mixt entre el rococó i el neoclàssic.
