Tårnet i Biel står på en klippe i byen Biel nær Zaragoza og kontrollerer floden Arba de Biel.
Der findes dokumenterede referencer til dette slot fra tiden for Sancho III den Store af Navarra, men den første kendte lejer var Blasco Orioli, mellem 1042 og 1051. Mens han var konge af Aragón, gav Sancho Ramírez det i medgift til sin kone Felicia de Roucy, som han giftede sig med i 1071. Fra den dato omtales slottet som Kongens Palads, som senere vil have som lejere hans sønner Fernando og Alfonso. Det var Alfonso I, der i det 11. århundrede gav det til Castán de Biel. Fra det 13. århundrede begyndte slottet at miste betydning og blev i det 15. århundrede et herregård.
