I kommunen Gouy, 20 km nord for Saint-Quentin, tilbyder kilderne ved Escaut vandrere og trekkere et landskab af skove og sletter på en af ruterne til Santiago de Compostela. Denne store europæiske flod udspringer i et murstensbassin i bunden af en skyggelagt dal.
Stedet har informationspaneler om flodens historie og forløb. Der er også en statue af en delfin. Denne statue er en gave fra byen Antwerpen som tak for den velstand, floden har bragt til byen.
