Portmagee is een fraai dorp waar "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" in 2014 neerstreek. Binnen de kortste keren werd Portmagee de plaats waar Luke Skywalker een pint leerde tappen, met de hulp van Ciaran Kelly van The Bridge Bar. Hier vond de wrap party van Star Wars plaats, waarbij Daisy Ridley en Mark Hamill aansloten bij de lokale bewoners tijdens een traditionele Ierse muzieksessie.
