The eastern part of Amsterdam Centrum is the most fun part of the city. It has long been a port area, and therefore there is a lot of industrial heritage to admire. In between, new neighborhoods are emerging. The Marine Establishment was closed for centuries but is now accessible, and on Oostenburgereiland, a vibrant neighborhood is being built where you feel like you're in the Meat Packers District in Manhattan.
