Kortrijk er en centerby i syd for den belgiske provins West-Vlaanderen og er hovedbyen i det ligeså navngivne administrative og retlige arrondissement. Floden Leie flyder tværs gennem den historiske by. Kortrijk har næsten 78.000 indbyggere, hvilket gør det til den næststørste by i provinsen West-Vlaanderen efter Brugge. En indbygger fra Kortrijk kaldes en Kortrijkzaan/Kortrijkzane eller nogle gange Kortrijkenaar. Kortrijk ligger 25 km nordøst for den franske by Lille, som danner et transnationalt Eurodistrikt: den fransk-belgiske Eurometropol Lille-Kortrijk-Douai med omkring 2.100.000 indbyggere.
