Rham-plateauet i Luxembourg er omfavnet af Alzette fra tre sider. Det var allerede tidligt beboet. Siden opførelsen af den tredje ringmur i det 15. århundrede er det blevet en del af fæstningen Luxembourg.
Under fransk herrskab lod Vauban her i slutningen af det 17. århundrede bygge fem militærkaserner. Siden slutningen af det 19. århundrede er der blevet indrettet sociale institutioner i disse bygninger. I flere år har Rham-plateauet fungeret som plejehjem.
