Bridgend est une ville du pays de Galles appartenant au county borough de Bridgend, qui est 18 miles à l'ouest de la capitale, Cardiff, et 20 miles à l'est de Swansea. La ville a reçu son nom de la rivière Ogmore et le bridge qui y croise, mais la rivière Ewenny passe aussi au sud de la ville.
