De Taxiarchis kerk is het pitoreske kerkje aan het haventje van Vathi. Op 6 september is het hier elk jaar een groot feest om de patroonsheilige van de kerk te vieren en ook die van het iets hoger gelegen klooster met de gelijkaardige naam (Taxiorchon Monastery). Van aan de kerk van Vathi kan je de zon over de bergpas van Katsistria zien opkomen en dan langs de helling van de Katsistria Berg haar klim naar het zuiden volgen.
