Nabij het strand van Vathy vind je een prachtvoorbeeld van twee maalstenen. Ze zijn verwerkt in een pompsteen. Je ziet nog goed het gat in de deksteen waar een stok werd in geplaatst om het bovenste deel te draaien. Het onderste deel toont ook de opening waar de olie uit liep. Vermoedelijk was dit een olijfolie, notenolie of zadenolie maalsteen.
