In het gebied van Apo Sagkri zie je regelmatig koeien. Maar dit is niet de enige plek in Naxos waar je koeien ziet. Op zick zijn koeien misschien niets bijzonder, maar als je vele Egeïsche eilanden hebt bezocht, weet je dat de meeste van deze eilanden niet zo'n koevriendelijke plaatsen zijn. Dit is dus een vrij uitzonderlijk gezicht voor de Egeïsche Zee. En zo is de productie van zuivelproducten gerelateerd aan koemelk. Probeer zeker de lokale kazen van koemelk en ook schapen- en geitenmelk!
