Aquest carrer porta el nom de Jean de Bohème. L'any 1331 , Joan de Bohèmia, comte de Luxemburg i rei de Bohèmia, va fer de Durbuy una ciutat, construint muralles per tancar-la en un enclavament de 2 hectàrees , d'aquí el títol de «ciutat més petita del món»!
Davant d'aquest banc hi ha un antic abeurador.
Abans que es pogués abreujar el bestiar i els cavalls a l'estable o a la pastura, calia portar el ramat a un lloc per beure diverses vegades al dia. Als pobles que estaven massa allunyats d'un riu o d'un estany, els animals havien d'apagar la set amb els abeuradors (que s'aprovisionaven de la font més propera).
