L'any 1588, JB Du Bois de Fiennes va fundar una capella al seu castell dedicada a Sant Fiacre. Sant Fiacre és el patró dels jardiners.
Tanmateix, no va ser fins l'any 1676 que els veïns podien assistir a missa i rebre els sagraments del baptisme i del matrimoni. El 1718 un pastor s'instal·là a Membre, seguit d'un pastor el 1853.
L'antiga capella, envoltada pel cementiri, va ser enderrocada l'any 1888 i substituïda per l'església actual.
Una característica sorprenent és l'orgue construït per Georg Westenfelder, un dels millors de la seva època. Encara es fan concerts d'orgue.
