Antigament anomenada Pérez del Pulgar, aquesta plaça és una pintoresca plaça que acull l'església de San Miguel, construïda l'any 1538 sobre l'antiga mesquita, de la qual encara es conserva una bonica cisterna.
També hi ha una creu de pedra del segle XVII a la plaça i la casa morisca del corraló.
La Casa de la Lona també limitava amb la plaça. També es pot accedir al Palau de Daralhorra pel Callejón del Gallo. Passar pel carreró de les Vistillas de San Miguel et donarà accés a la Porta del Lleó, el Bab-al Asad.
Avui dia, la plaça és punt de trobada i lloc de copes i tapes de molts habitants i granadins que s'acosten a la plaça per gaudir d'un diumenge assolellat.
