L'edifici senyorial de l'Hospital del Cardenal Salazar de Còrdova ha tingut diverses funcions des del seu disseny. D'un centre educatiu per a nens pobres a un hospital d'aguts.
Actualment acull la Facultat de Filosofia i Lletres de Còrdova. Va ser dissenyat al segle XVIII per Francisco Hurtado Izquierdo. La imponent façana barroca dóna pas a les diferents estances disposades al voltant de dos patis d'arcs , el principal dels quals té una bonica font de marbre .
L'escala principal condueix al primer pis. Els llargs passadissos condueixen a petites finestres on encara hi ha gravats els noms i les dates dels residents de l'antic hospital. Integrada al conjunt hi ha la capella de Sant Bartomeu , exemple de l'arquitectura gòtica mudèjar.
