Amb 492 metres, el Pic de l'Ours és un dels cims més alts de l'Estèrel.
El cim està marcat per una estació de radar esfèrica blanca , visible des de lluny.
S'hi accedeix per senders ben senyalitzats. Els senderistes solen començar des del Col Notre-Dame (més fàcil i curt) o el Col du Testanier (possibilitat d'un circuit més llarg).
La vista de 360° de la costa, de l'Estèrel i dels Alps Marítims és fins i tot descrita per molts excursionistes com a més espectacular que la de Cap Roux, ja que es veuen més pics de l'interior i tot el litoral des de Fréjus fins a Antibes.
El nom "Pic de l'Ours" significa "pic de l' ós ", però mai no hi ha hagut óssos . El nom podria provenir de la forma del massís ;
