El 1741 es va iniciar la construcció del portal rococó de la capella, al costat de l'antiga església dels dominics. No va ser fins al 1800 quan es va acabar la façana de la capella.
El portal principal d'aquesta capella d'estil barroc, rococó i neoclàssic presenta una excel·lent pedra tallada amb l'escut de l'Ordre de Santo Domingo . pedestal.
Aquest edifici formava part del Convent de Sant Domènec i es troba al costat de l'Església de Sant Domènec. trobaven a l'edifici han estat traslladats a l'Arxiu Municipal Alfredo Pimienta.
