Aquesta platja es troba en una zona de natura bonica, envoltada pel bosc de Camarido. És una platja amb un ambient una mica ventós i fort onatge . A l'estiu, les condicions són excel·lents per practicar surf i fins i tot surf de vela.
La platja és extensa i està envoltada de les pinedes del Parc Natural de Camarid.
Davant la Praia de Moledo, en un illot rocós accessible amb vaixell, s'alça el Fuerte da Ínsua , construït al segle XVI. Al segle XV, l'edifici va passar de ser un convent a ser reconvertit, i als segles XVII i XVIII va ser remodelat, convertint-lo en un bastió per a la defensa costanera.
