This beach is located in an area with beautiful nature, surrounded by the Camarido forest. It is a beach with a somewhat windy atmosphere and strong waves . In summer the conditions are excellent for surfing and even windsurfing.
The beach is extensive and surrounded by the pine forests of the Camarid Natural Park.
Opposite Praia de Moledo, on a small rocky island accessible by boat, stands the Forte da Ínsua , built in the 16th century. In the 15th century the building was converted from a convent and in the 17th and 18th centuries it was remodelled, turning it into a bastion for coastal defence.
