På Grote Markt finder der hvert tiende år den store Ros Beiaard Ommegang (2010, 2020, 2030,...). Så kommer Ros Beiaard igen fra stald. Og det sker altså kun hvert 10. år. Vidste du, at de 4 "heemskinderen", der sidder på hesten, naturligvis skal være børn fra Dendermonde. Men oveni det skal det være 4 sammenhængende fødte brødre, uden en søster imellem.
Folkloren omkring denne begivenhed er anerkendt af UNESCO og står på Verdensarvslisten.
