Op de Grote Markt is elke tien jaar de groter Ros Beiaard Ommegang (2010,2020,2030,...). Dan komt het Ros Beiaard weer van stal. En dat gebeurt dus maar om de 10 jaar. Wist je dat de 4 "heemskinderen" die op het paard zitten vanzelfsprekend kinderen van Dendermonde moeten zijn. Maar daar bovenop moeten het 4 opeenvolgend geboren broers zijn, zonder daartussen een zus.
De folkore rond deze gebeurtenis is erkend door UNESCO en staat op de Worldheritage List.
