De gårdehuse i provinsen Namur er både talrige og bemærkelsesværdige. Denne fra Falaën, som er meget tiltalende, har den usædvanlige egenskab, at den siden 1664 er bygget i flere faser på området af en gammel gård fra det 13. århundrede. Udover de forstærkede mure er den omgivet af voldgrave og har en hævebro, som yderligere forstærker forsvarsværket, der er typisk for de forstærkede slotte.
