I Sixtus-skovene er sommereg eg den mest almindelige, men lokalt finder vi også tam kastanje, almindelig ask, rå birk, sødkirsebær og ligusterbær. I underskoven klarer især hassel, europæisk fuglekirsebær, Gelderlands rose, sort æbletræ og skraldetræ sig godt. Den, der leder godt, finder også den sjældne to-stilkede hviddorn, medæble og skovrose. Fra den indfødte skraldetræ, Gelderlands rose og hassel høstes frøene til dyrkning i andre skove.
Derudover går vi forbi legeområdet på 2,5 hektar. Her kan ungdommen boltre sig lystigt, væk fra stierne.
