Nei boschi di Sixtus prevale la quercia estiva, ma localmente troviamo anche castagno dolce, frassino comune, betulla rugosa, ciliegio dolce e sorbo. Nello strato arbustivo si trovano in particolare nocciolo, ciliegio europeo, rosa di Gelderland, sambuco e albero sporco. Chi cerca con attenzione trova anche il raro biancospino a due steli, il nespolo e la rosa selvatica. I semi dell'albero sporco, della rosa di Gelderland e del nocciolo vengono raccolti per essere coltivati in altre foreste.
Inoltre, passeggiamo lungo la zona giochi di 2,5 ettari. Qui i giovani possono divertirsi a loro piacimento, lontano dai sentieri.
