Vand Slot Borgitter blev bygget i begyndelsen af det 16. århundrede af Jan van Waes, drossaard af grevskabet Horn. Der er ikke bevaret noget fra det oprindelige slot, kun hjørnetårnet minder om en ældre bygningsfase (1610). Den nuværende klassicistiske bygning i Maaslandse stil stammer fra slutningen af det 18. århundrede og er fundamenteret på egetræspæle.
Bag slottet ligger de 18. århundrede gårde Breukskenshof og Halfeshof, forvalterboligen og en vandmølle fra det 17. århundrede. Indtil den franske revolution blev slottet beboet af efterkommere af familien Van Waes. I 1800 kom det i besiddelse af familien Michiels van Kessenich. Slottet og bygningerne omkring det har været beskyttet siden 13. januar 1981.
Slot Borgitter ligger i Kasteelstraat 20 i Kessenich.
