Description

Scheldeveld og de Syv Alléer ligger på kommunens område De Pinte. Scheldevelde går tilbage til et middelalderligt 'mark' eller 'vold'. Dette område var en del af det omfattende Scheldeholt eller Karolingisk konge skov fra Gent til Sint-Eloois-Vijve. Det omfattende og kompakte område, der tilhørte St. Peters kloster, lå lige syd for sammenløbet af Schelde og Leie og blev også afgrænset af disse vandløb.
